Tom has 35 years of experience in managing and leading a variety of organizations, Since 2021, Tom’s focus has been making independent schools successful with their Veracross software implementations. Tom is a certified Veracross Implementation Partner (Veracross is independent-school management software), and provides implementation services, consulting for school’s ‘first year’ with Veracross, and change management/consulting to schools implementing Veracross.

Tom was Technology Director at Mary Institute and Saind Louis Country Day School for ten years, leading a team of 12 with responsibilities for both operational and instructional technologies

Prior to founding LSRT Associates, he was Sr. Vice President at SSE, and led its 100 technology employees in four professional technology consulting practices.

SSE presented the opportunity to solve many of the typical technology challenges that face business and not for profit organizations. These included new product development, custom software design, people growth and management, new practice startup, acquisition due diligence and integration, major technology upgrades, and the best deployment of dollar and people resources.

Prior to SSE Tom held a variety of positions including leading the 150 person organization charged with maintaining and enhancing Coast Guard Aviation’s core enterprise systems. In this position Tom developed and honed his organizational change, business process redesign, leadership, and enterprise systems support skills.

Tom was a Coast Guard aviator and served for many years as a helicopter aircraft commander and aviation maintenance officer.
